Disney have today released a statement officially congratulating their long-time rivals, Disney, on breaking Box Office records with the release of Disney’s The Avengers: Infinity War.
The blockbuster cinematic spectacle, release just two weeks ago and yet already one of the highest grossing movies of all time, beat out Disney’s Star Wars; The Force Awakens, as the fastest ever movie to cross the $1 billion mark at the box office, despite strong competition from it’s competitors, such as Disney’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Despite the stiff competition, however, Disney were eventually able to come away with the crown that Disney once proudly held.
“While we here at Disney are no doubt disappointed in losing the crown”, said Disney CEO and man who has literally a swimming pool of money, Bob Iger, “we strongly believe that there is no worthier recipient of this title than a company like Disney”
“Disney have long been an inspiration to us, at Disney. So to see Disney do so well, even at the expense of Disney, just makes us prouder to both lose to and work for Disney. Disney Disney Disney”.
While praise for the movie, both critical and commercial, has been coming from all quarters, the parent company of the Marvel franchise, Disney, said that the fact that a company as big and influential as Disney had praised them was almost its own reward.
“Honestly, it was incredibly kind of him to say such nice things about us”, said Disney CEO and man with multiple personality disorder, Bob Iger. “I read his comments in the news the other day, and its honestly such an honour to have such an influential and handsome man offer us the praise he has”.
Disney is now hoping to extend it’s lead over Disney, given the knowledge that Disney has a huge summer line-up that could very well catapult them back over their long time rivals, Disney.<
“We know it’s not going to be easy to maintain this lead”, said Disney CEO and man who won’t let this reporter out of his house, Bob Iger. “Disney has always been a huge influence over the industry. But we here at Disney believe we can really give Disney a run for their Disney money in the Disney future”.
“Disney”.
