A recent report by the PETA has found that the adorable sausage dog is much more likely to be enjoyed as an idea, not necessarily as a reality.

The dachshund, also known as the sausage dog or wiener dog is a short-legged, long-bodied, hound-type dog breed. They may be smooth-haired, wire-haired, or long-haired.

The report found that outside the cuteness factor, the dachshund’s inability to climb stairs or be tied up outside a coffee shop without carrying on like a goose, makes them less appealing in real life – for those who actually own them.

While their playful demeanour and hilarious body-shape is something that appeals to toddlers and early-twenties females that pass them in the street – they can suffer from excruciating health problems related to having such a fucken long torso and tiny legs.

About 20–25% of dachshunds will develop intervertebral disk disease through being slightly overweight or jumping around heaps. Basically the type of stuff you expect most domesticated house pets to be able to deal with.

Their poo is also really smelly, like 60% more smelly then other types of dog poos – and on top of that they have to life their front legs off the ground to properly crouch down to do it.

However, all obvious breeding flaws aside, PETA say that the anti-social demeanour of the sausage dog is far less detrimental to society than any of the bully breeds – even the ones that have been ‘raised properly’
