A Breeza man has said he is “not overly concerned” about the news that his own government approved the highly contentious Shenhua Watermark coal mine in his local electorate, despite his vehement protests.
Berrick Blackett, a fourth-generation sorghum farmer, says he’ll just have to wait and see how the project plays out – but he is not “losing sleep over it all”.
“Obviously, Barnaby’s dropped the ball on this one. That Abbott-sucking piece of shit knows it’s not worth showing his face around town, but there’s a lot more that would need to happen before they start tearing up the earth around here”
Environment Minister Greg Hunt on Wednesday conditionally approved the $1.2 billion project, putting him at odds with his Nationals colleagues who has previously decried the proposal by the Chinese government-owned firm as “an absurdity” – including the now very silent, Agricultural Minister Barnaby Joyce.
“Put it this way… my property, my neighbours, everyone we know has been notified that they are in the ‘disturbance zone’ of this project. We aren’t panicking just yet,”
In a world-renowned food-bowl of Australian agriculture, Mr Blackett and his neighbours produce some of the world’s highest quality sun-flowers, barley, sorghum and chickpeas. But unlike “most of the graziers out there getting f**ked by live export”, the locals all know that their livelihoods can only be taken from them if they allow it.
“It’s quite simple really,” says Mr Blackett with a grin.
“I have told my son, Adam, to shoot the first cunt he sees wearing hi-vis”.
“Then the next, then the next one… Any Chinese-looking cunts… *pop*”
“Any Canadian, Malaysian, Chilean geologists… *bang bang*” The local character laughs as his uses his fingers to resemble a handgun being fired.
Mr Blackett says he and his adult sons are prepared to murder anyone who comes “within a Winfield” of his fence-line. But it’s not just him, his neighbours are all on board as well.
“This is what it comes down to really, four generations of hardworking Australians keeping this country fed and clothed… Only to have it all ripped away from us because some low-breed intellectuals in Canberra can see dollar-signs coming out of China.
“I don’t think so Tony, I don’t think so Barnaby… You spineless grubs”
“It’ll be just like the time the Japanese prisoners broke out of the P.O.W camp in Cowra in the 40’s. My grandfather was asked to shoot them on sight, and he did,”
“I’ll be doing the same thing… putting a bullet in the head of anyone who threatens our way of life,”
While the 56-year-old father-of-four acknowledges he will, in fact, be breaking the law – he says that even with piles of dead bodies on his fence-line, he will still be able to take the moral high-ground.
“This is what the old National party would have advised us to do… Well before Barnaby’s time. Well before he decided to bend over the grand piano at Kirribilli house,”
“… and if Barnaby and Tony want to come out here and pay a visit themselves… I have a special piece of poly-pipe buried in the back paddock for that occasion”
“It would be an honour to pepper the bodies of both the leader of the National party and the leader of the Coalition with high-powered bullets from my unregistered S.K.S”
“But like I said, not overly concerned, just yet”
Former member of the New England area, Tony Windsor, who has since announced a possible return to politics to rectify the current Shenhua controversy – has advised all farmers to not shoot government officials.
“It’s not a good idea, fellas. Let me and Barnaby sort this out like men. With a bottle of rum and some boot polish. I repeat… Do not shoot Barnaby Joyce” said Mr Windsor on twitter last night.

Many of the correspondents seem to have the answer to everything-would like to see them sit in a seat of power and solves the countries problems.
Many of our politicians – on both sides – work hard – don’t get things right all the time but they try. As for Mr Joyce. Wish we had more like him.
Have recently seen politicians brought to tears because of the ongoing and devastating drought through much of our grazing / farming land. They do have heart and soul as the likes of Mr Joyce and Mr Scott live the life of these people – many are family or friends they have shared their life with.
If Labor gave the coalition a decent go at governing, maybe we wouldn’t be in the predicament we are now in.
As for the lout with the unregistered SKS, such a statement says enough about him!!
