Today we celebrate the 110th International Women’s Day. This year’s theme is #ChooseToChallenge – it’s a motto that is proving to be unearthing some damning allegations from the brave females working in Parliament House.
As the Liberal Member for Wentworth Dave Sharma faces backlash for handing out unsolicited flowers to women at the only train station in his whole electorate, very few Government MPs have been bold enough to go near IWD after a nightmare fortnight in Parliament House.
And with the ABC set to pinball a series of even more damaging allegations of Liberal Party sexual assault and harassment around Australian television sets tonight – it seems that shutting up might be the smart thing to do right now.
However, Prime Minister Scotty From Marketing is unable to resist the exciting prospect of partaking in any social social media trends.
This was typified this afternoon, as the PM paid tribute to his loyal wife of 31 years, Jenny Morrison.
Posting the most super-serious-politiciany photo he could find of the two of them, Scotty took to social media this afternoon to give a big International Women’s Day shout out to his queen.
“Just one of the most amazing women in my life that help to make me the most powerful man in Australia” read the caption.
“Jenny, it’s been a wild ride. I can’t believe we’ve been married for 31 years”
“Ya get less for murder hahahahah!!”
MORE TO COME.
