Prince Harry has today learnt the hard way about what is expected of Sydney pub patrons in 2018.
While visiting the iconic Wounded Convict Hotel in the harbour suburb of The Rocks, an elderly property investor managed to break through the Prince’s security detail to tell him to keep it down.
It is believed the red-headed Royal had ducked into an iconic inner-city pub for a beer and to escape the rain during his whirlwind visit to Sydney today, it was here where the 33-year-old was believed to have violated clause 2302 of the 2014 NSW Liquor Licensing Act: Laughing and carrying on.
Witnesses say a neighbouring 70-year-old local retiree had been aggravated after hearing Prince Harry saying “What is a good local beer” to the publican at around midday, prompting him to enter the venue to tell everyone to stop behaving like ordinary people do in pubs.
“I’m trying to watch the day time news!” roared the former travel agent by the name of Quentin Beazley.
“This isn’t a darn rock concert! I don’t care who your mother was. Keep it down!”
“This area is changing. It isn’t the type of place you go to make an idiot of yourself. Show some respect, I’ve lived next door for 18 months!”
Prince Harry appeared visibly confused by being told not to laugh or tell yarns but ensured he would try his best to be respectful.
However, after less than twenty minutes he found himself unable to not laugh at a classic joke told by one of the venues remaining regulars.
NSW Police arrived shortly afterwards and fined the venue $30,000.
Prince Harry was advised to leave the premises and told that he should go check out the Vivid light festival that cost the state Government close to $30 million dollars to put on for twelve windy winter evenings.
