A local bachelor who doesn’t have the patience or motor skills to wrap Christmas presents says the left over gift bags from an array of bottle shop purchases are just fine to use as a substitute.
While not exactly taking into account how much he has been drinking of late, Nick Hewitt (29) says its all about the colours and Christmas icons that matter.
“It’s just as good” he says, while attempting to jam several jars of face moisturiser that he had bought for his mum down one of the laminated carry bags.
“Like, I don’t like wasting things. Wrapping paper is just a waste of sticky tape and stuff”
With Christmas just around the corner, the present is now on to see whether Nick has done enough shopping to cover everyone in his extended family, which is only about twelve people.
“Last year I forgot my aunty and her daughter, essentially an entire family”
“This year I’m doubling up too. Mum and Dad get the same present, my brother and sister will get something to share. That way If I forget anyone I can just say that they were part-owners of another present in one of the bottle shop bags”
