As someone who fought tooth and nail against the election of Anthony Albanese, even going as far as using my platform in a highly-circulated newspaper to vilify both he and his party for his entire campaign, I never thought I’d ever say that this country were lucky to vote for him.
Because they are.
That’s right. The Australian public are lucky that Anthony Albanese is Prime Minister
Imagine if they voted in 77 Greens MPs.
While I would have personally preferred another term from the left’s most hated centre-right Cronulla boy, I have to say Anthony Albanese by far the better option than some of the radical leftists the inner-city latte sippers have gifted us.
And in 2023 it pains me that I have to even address the existence of the Greens, but alas, here we are. They’ve got four seats in the Lower House and are edging closer to no longer being a minor party by the day. One day they’ll probably go seat-for-seat with the poor old Nats. I blame the Chinese social media platform TikTok for eroding the brains of the youth. The meddling of foreign governments is the only thing that explains Brisbane voters electing to gift our country three more of these freaks.
But you’d have to be pretty thick to keeping voting for them after this last week.
Once again, the Greens have shown their hands as radical NIMBY (not-in-my-backyard) champagne socialists who refuse to come to the table with Albanese’s new housing plan.
With extreme housing shortfalls on the horizon, the government is proposing a multi-billion dollar housing fund to help those in need. By doing exactly what we need to do. And what we need to do is move more people into bohemian suburbs that are on the rise, and build thousands of more high-density residential towers full of affordable accomodation. It’s the only way these lazy millenialls will ever be able to get into the market for under $1m. They just don’t know how to save and they’ve squandered all of their best years and low interest rates on coffee and facebook.
But negotiations on this bill have stalled, with the Greens and crossbenchers arguing that the scheme doesn’t go far enough. What absolute divas. They argue a $750k home isn’t good enough if it’s only a studio apartment. Talk about wanting your cake and eating it too. They keep refering to this archaic concept of ‘public housing’ – one that Howard worked dilligently to shave down from 10% to 3% over his time as PM, and thank God he did.
Do you want kids with rat tails attending school with your kids? I don’t even want to live alongside the ‘old’ blue collar Labor-voters in these up and coming suburbs. Why? Because I don’t enjoy the smell of cigarettes.
But the greens don’t want anyone there at all. Luxury apartments are not good enough for them, and luxury apartment owners aren’t either, apparently.
Enjoy renting lefties. Either way, us economically sensible Australians don’t have to worry about our property portfolios devaluing at any rate. Regardless of whether Peter Dutton kicks this mob out of power or not.
