Tonight’s MasterChef finale will have it all, as contestants jump the final hurdles thrown at them by Matt, Gary and George.
They may have proven that they’ve got the chops in the kitchen, but can they make it a full-time job? Tonight we find out.
Channel Ten insiders, the same ones who have leaked the name of tonight’s winner to all of their mates who are currently loading up big bets with the online bookies, say that the final challenge is one that only the most hardened hospitality professionals are going to be ready for.
Navigating the prompts on Fair Work’s emergency helpline.
“This is what separates the boys from men, girls from women” said one producer.
“You might be able to whip up a steak tartare, but can you deal with the bureacracy and paperwork required to scrape back eight months worth of unpaid wages!?”
This episode will be a big finish for the franchise as we know it, after the news that ‘Masterchef’ judging panel is set to leave, with this evening’s finale to be their last appearance. A whole new set of judges, likely ex-contestants that now have their own restaurants will be named for the 2020 season.
Network 10 said the decision had been reached after contractual negotiations with the trio proved unsuccessful.
This announcement sits in the wake of the news show’s host George Calombaris was found to have underpaid staff at his restaurants by nearly $8 million. The Fair Work Ombudsman fined the chef and his Made Establishment company $200,000.
The winner of tonight’s challenge is set to be announced at 11pm AESTD after a million fucken ads.
