A recent report by the Institute Of Australian Nightclub Door Girls has found that 98% of people who put their hands up to be a contestant on Married At First Sight, also used to rock a pink Moto-Razr back in the day.
“What we have found is, the Motorola Razr appears to have set a tone for young people in the early 2000s” said one researcher.
“Many of their owners have strived to lead a life of basicness, and in many cases, a career as well”
The Motorola Razr (styled RAZR, pronounced “razor”; was a series of mobile phones by Motorola, part of the 4LTR line. The V3 was the first phone released in the series and was introduced in July 2004 and has long been associated with consumers likely described as basic, shallow and big on lip fillers.
Because of its striking appearance and thin profile, it was initially marketed as an exclusive fashion phone, but within a year, its price was lowered and it was wildly successful, selling over 50 million units to teenage fans of Paris Hliton. by July 2006.
Over the Razr’s four-year run, the V3 model sold more than 130 million units, becoming the best-selling clamshell phone in the world to date.
The study also found that majority of Nokia N-Gage owners now work for the NBN.
