A morning commute on the Betoota Monorail network became uncharacteristically interesting during a stop in Betoota Ponds as a transit officer kicked off with a fare evading passenger.

As Transit Office Todd McKinley (54) fired off with the unnamed fare evader, many of the witnesses state they took to sleuth-esque measures to ensure they didn’t miss out on any of the action by covertly unplugging their headphones.

Much like a silent disco, the commuters wore separate earpieces while also listening to the same thing; a failed police officer arguing with a societal outsider.

“I heard what was going on so I muted Infowars,” stated one commuter.

“I guess I was distracted by the sound of a second angry man screaming.”

While many of the witnesses state they were able to listen to the altercation without being detected, it is reported that many of them without sunglasses were caught looking at treated to a few rounds of “the fuck you staring at?” from the disgruntled passenger.

“Is it a crime to ride the fucking train now or something?” asked the indignant man in the style of a performance artist.

“Why don’t you take a fuckin’ photo then?”

The eavesdropping witnesses state the fare evader escaped the train at the next stop, providing them all with an opportunity to begin listening to their devices during the hour and ten minute commute.
