39-year old local man Nick Rogers has today expressed his outrage towards the music director of ABC’s youth radio broadcaster Triple J.
The part-time wedding event planner, who also drives Uber, has again avoided facing his 40th birthday by taking aim at the station’s management for procuring a playlist that predominantly services the 18-25 age bracket, a demographic that Rogers has long passed.
“It’s just garbage” he said.
“It’s all over-produced, one-dimensional crap. There’s no Ben Harper anymore, no System Of a Down. They’re taking jobs away from hard-working guitarists. Real musicians”.
When it was suggested that maybe he look at exploring the large range of alternative platforms, like JJJ’s sister station Double J, or literally every other radio station in the world via online streaming, Nick appeared to get a little hot under the collar.
“Why can’t they just go back 20 years to when they played the music I like?”
We tried for a comment from Triple J’s newly-appointed music director, though his PA replied he was busy being the most popular and influential white male in the country since his predecessor.
