Banned Australian cricket star David Warner reportedly left his car in park in the middle of a six lane highway in Sydney’s west, after he merged lanes without indicating, a mistake that resulted in a fellow motorist ridiculing him with some light-hearted road rage.
Warner, who has had to deal with a fair bit of nasty off-comments over the last few days, was only halfway through his Joe Rogan podcast when he was beeped from behind by a tradie who had taken issue with his driving.
“Are your eyes painted on, mate?” asked the ropeable motorist through a wound down window.
“How bout you learn how to drive”
It is believed David Warner immediately hit the brakes, put his car in park, and began walking into into oncoming traffic.
Another driver, who recognised the distraught batsmen, slowed down to tell him to not take the abuse too seriously.
“David, come on, mate” said the sympathetic motorist.
“Get back in your car. This won’t help anything”
His eyes welling, Warner stuck up for himself and refused to be consoled.
“I’m not taking that, mate. Not from a stranger who doesn’t know who I am” he said.
Warner then left his 2016 Holden Statesmen in the middle of the highway, with the driver door still open, forcing others to dangerously swerve the obstruction he had left in the middle of the road.
It is not yet known why he was wearing full cricket kit while driving around in the middle of the day.
This follows the news walked off because of an opposition sledge while playing in Sydney local cricket.
Warner, who turned 32 on Saturday, soon continued his innings and made 114 not out for Randwick-Petersham against Western Suburbs.
Warner had made 35 on Saturday when he reportedly told an umpire he was removing himself from the game after being niggled a little bit by some run-of-the-mill park cricketers.
