A special report commissioned by Australia’s peak scientific body, the CSIRO, as concluded that everybody takes a moment to check themselves upon entering an elevator.
Elevators or ‘lifts’, as they’re known in the developed world, often allow a person a short period of time to take count of their thoughts and breathe.
But the rate at which people do this has been unknown for generations – until now that is.
“We had no idea that everybody checks themselves out when they ride in a lift,” said one researcher.
“Amazing findings. We even found that in lifts without mirrors or any tangible reflective panel, people still give themselves a look over,”
“And we didn’t find a single person who doesn’t do this. I guess it’s just one of those things? Crazy.”
