In some news that has shaken the nation to its very core, a report has emerged that some multinational bookmakers might be a bit dodgy.
Those revelations came to light last night in 7:30 report which detailed the activity of giant English bookmaker Bet365.
Thanks to a brave whistleblower who will probably now be dragged through the courts for revealing unethical and probably illegal behaviour because large corporations and government bodies need protection from people who shed light on their dodgy behaviour, those unfamiliar with the way bookies work learnt that they actually try and rip punters off.
Following years of making 10 plus billion dollars a year in profit, obviously from losing punters it’s hoped that maybe something might happen now to regulate the gambling companies a little bit more closely.
“Of fuck, so the companies who ban winning punters, delay live bets to try and skew the odds in their favour, and prey on losing punters through promotions, VIP trips to the races and continued targetted marketing and offers are a bit dodgy,” asked one local gambler down at the Lord Kidman’s TAB section.
“Yeah geez, what do ya know, well maybe someone will do something about it.”
“Imagine if we nationalised the bookies, or only allowed government-owned bookies so the profits would flow back into the community, that could be good” he mused before focusing his attention back on the screen.
