A self-confessed rugby head spun around on his desk chair after lunch today and asked a group of colleagues if any of them caught the Sunwolves game over the weekend.

However, as it turns out, none of them did.

Sam Klimt, an emerging market specialist at Goldman Sach’s Old City District offices, told The Advocate that he thought the blokes behind him on the opposite pod were talking about the flogging of the Japanese super rugby side over the weekend.

But they were talking about something unrelated to the Highland’s historic win in Tokyo on Friday night.

“Oh, sorry,” he said.

The 28-year-old tuned into the match before boarding Qantas flight to Sydney on Saturday afternoon to watch his beloved Waratahs go down fighting against The Shorks, a largely unpopular South African rugby union team.

Sam began to elaborate on why he loves rugby and so on.

Our reporter put the phone down on the desk and decided to make himself a cup of tea in the kitchenette while Same tired himself out.

More to come.
