A local IT technician, who no one would be sending flowers to, has today asked a florist in his office if the bouquet she was delivering was for him.
It’s believed that after swallowing the bile that rose in her throat out of disgust, the delivery woman laughed awkwardly and told the creep that no, sorry, they were not for him.
Florist, Jacinta Charmaine, later told The Advocate that interactions with fugly and unfunny office men was a pretty common occurrence in her line of work.
“I hear it with every delivery”
“Some smart-ass thinks he’s being funny but it’s just annoying.”
“And it’s always the old ones that say it.”
“If they were half hot I’d probably go along with it but they’re just the bottom of the barrel.”
While florists are usually not too busy with office deliveries, Valentine’s Day is an exception to the rule.
Jacinta says that the comments increase ten-fold around the commercially created day.
“I’ve made 30 deliveries and without a doubt every time I get an ‘are those for me’ like, get an original joke”
“Of course they’re not for you, your name isn’t Rachel, you’re a man.”
“If I wasn’t making so much money off Valentine’s Day I’d put a ban on deliveries.”
More to come.
