KREMLIN OFFICIALS investigating the murder of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov have claimed Islamist extremists, not Putin, may have been behind his death.

Other possible motives listed by the Investigative Committee, which has Vladimir Putin as its executive, included trying to destabilise the Russian president, the Ukraine conflict and his personal life.

However, intelligence agencies around the world are investigating whether the assassination and #dressgate are related.

Debate over the colour of the dress hijacked the internet yesterday, leaving little room for anything else.

Mr Nemtsov was shot four times in the back by a gunman in a car as he crossed a bridge in view of the Kremlin just before midnight on Friday, police said.

The Nine Network has come under fire for barely touching on the subject, with the news of the assassination failing to make the 5:30pm trailer for the 6pm broadcast.

Darren Wick has been the Network Director of News & Current Affairs at 9 Australia since 2012.

“It just wasn’t newsworthy,” said Mr Wick.

“Although it was bad, our audience doesn’t really give a shit about Russian politics – we show they what they want,”

“That’s the primary function of the ABC, to report the news, from home and abroad,”

“Our primary function is to show the cricket, NRL and entertain people,”

“If you’re interested in hard news, good for you. Go read a newspaper while you still can.”

  1. Look, I didn’t read the article, but then I never do when I’m about to throw something in the rubbish. It would waste my time.

Really?? what on earth do you think you were doing to write such an article? Senator MacDonald, a close distant relative of mine would turn over in his grave – (if he were dead of course).

But the point being that Russians will be Russians and it was far more urgent to finally decide the colour of the dress and get the internet back working in case they attack us.

We are very vulnerable as a country who only has flimsy corroding copper wire to carry around our likes and favourites.

If anyone needs shirt fronting it’s that Turnbull chap for giving us Fraudband. (do you like that – I just made that up.) (ha! not really)

So, in conclusion to this e-pistol Id like to say thanks for the opportunity to air what I really think – to show how my mind really works. Good isn’t it?

    sincerely,

    Doug Mcgrave
