AFTER FIVE YEARS OF WAITING – it finally happened.
An affluent, convicted champion woman-basher fought a street kid from the Phillipines for 45 minutes in Las Vegas – Generating the biggest audience and the biggest paycheque in the history of professional sport.
The judges at ringside scored it 118-110, 116-112 and 116-112 for the man known as Floyd “Money” Mayweather, who improved to 48-0 with the win, unifying the world welterweight championship – and cementing his legacy as the best pound-for-found fighter of this generation and overshadowing his history of unsavoury treatment towards women – in the process.
Many other notable women-bashers were present at the MGM grand, including but not limited to – convicted rapist and fellow women-basher, Mike Tyson.
Tyson has been at the centre of media attention all week, with many sports reporters rushing to him for comment, due to his authoritative position as both a former world champion boxer and world champion woman-basher.
“This is a great day for men who have bashed women” says Mike Downey, a spokesperson for Supporter Of Domestic Voilence Offenders and Misogynistic Icons (SODOMI)
“To be able to finally put these men on a pedestal and look past their prior misdemeanours – It’s something that has needed to happen for a while”
“Over 500 million people, probably far more, were tuned in around the world last night. The match up sent one message. It doesn’t matter if you have been accused or convicted of misognystic crimes. You can overcome it. All you need to do is be incredibly good at punching men as well”
The unsuccessful opponent, famously gentle and well-respected Filipino icon, Manny Pacquiao is destined to spend his life in the shadow of the vastly more talented man formerly known as “Pretty Boy Floyd” – now known as simply “Money”.
