In what can only be described as another dummy spit from a man who is desperately trying to shift blame away from his catastrophic jab roll-out, Prime Minister Scotty From Marketing has accused Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk of “holding the federal government to ransom”.
Scotty had previously slammed Palaszczuk’s “shakedown politics” back in July – after she refused to lick his boots while demanding that his government provide Queenslanders with enough jabs to successfully reach his ever-changing jab targets.
As Scotty bounces back and forth from big overseas meetings with world leaders who do not know his name, it is not lost on Queenslanders that his main priority throughout this east coast outbreak has been his beloved NSW government.
However, after yet another NSW Liberal Premier was forced to step down due to an ICAC investigation, Morrison no longer has a favourite – after Gladys Berejiklian was replaced by his mortal enemy and ‘proper Christian’ Dominic Perrottet yesterday.
One thing that is for certain, is that Labor Governments of Queensland, Western Australia and Victoria will not be prioritised any higher now that Gladys has gone.
On Sunrise yesterday, Scotty repeated the claims that Queenslanders were trying to “extort money” money out of Canberra by keeping their borders shut.
This comes after Queensland Premier Palaszczuk said she was not confident in opening borders before Christmas unless the Federal Government could provide the necessary funding to the state hospital system, in case they experience an influx in cases.
Morrison, who has gladly let his beloved Liberal donors like Gerry Harvey, Solomon Lew and the Anglican Church walk away with hundreds of millions of dollars in JobKeeper rorts, says the QLD Labor government is trying to extort him by asking for funding to make sure people don’t die of the virus.
“I mean, to go down this point and say ‘Well, you know, I’m going to hold the federal government to ransom and seek to extort money from them” said the Prime Minister who just paid $500m to cancel a submarine deal with the French, so that he could spend a couple billion more on new submarines with the US.
“I just don’t think it is the right way to go.”
Palaszczuk said in a press conference last week that even if vaccination targets are met, the capacity of health systems to respond to increased infections remains unknown.
“Not only do we need to make sure that we get as many people vaccinated as possible – there’s another big part to this story and that is to make sure that the hospitals can deal with the capacity” she said.
Scotty, the bloke who spent $660m on car park pork barrelling before the 2019 election, has opted to not give Queensland any of the funding they deserve, and has instead chosen to berate Palaszczuk on breakfast television.
His comments have been pinballed around the internet and Sky News by the same Murdoch shills who thought Queenslanders wouldn’t re-elect Annastacia by a landslide in 2020.
While the nation waits on the polling data to clarify whether this tantrum will improve Morrison’s popularity with voters, political analysts say that talking shit about Queenslanders and threatening their leaders is always a surefire way to lock in a re-election.
“Shut up you wanker” says Queensland.
