Prime Minister Scotty From Marketing has continued digging further into the hole that has found his Parliament swamped by thousands of protestors today.

In his opening remarks in Question Time, Mr Morrison said it was “right and good” that people were able to congregate in peaceful protests as tens of thousands gathered to demand action against gendered violence in Australia.
“Not far from here, such marches, even now, are being met with bullets, but not here in this country, Mr Speaker,” he said.

His comments have basically been percieved as him telling the hundreds of thousands of women protesting around the country that they should feel lucky that the state hasn’t ordered soldiers and cops to fire live rounds at them.

But Morrison has today proved he isn’t all talk.

During the 45 seconds seconds he spent observing today’s protest from a distance, the PM noticed a heavily armed AFP officer immediately scan the area in a surprised reaction to the unexpected appearance of the most important politician in the country.

“No” said Morrison, to the officer charged with guarding the same building where a female staffer is alleged to have been sexually assaulted in the lead up to the 2019 election.

“Put your gun down”

The Federal Police officer, who actually hadn’t raised his rifle beyond the precautionary level that would be expected of someone guarding the Prime Minister, appeared confused by these comments.

“OI!” the Prime Minster reiterated.

“Did you hear me?!?”

“Did you not see my speech in question time today??”

“Are you even aware of how much I respect the democracy in which we live!??”

“I said lower the gun!!!”

“We don’t do that here!!!”

MORE TO COME.
