The Hangzhou zoo sun bear accused of being a human has found support in the unlikeliest of places, revealing that Bluey’s father Bandit reached out this morning to offer some kind words of advice.
‘Sunny’ told The Advocate that it’d been a rough couple of days for him, admitting that the barrage of accusations and comments on his body really hurt his feelings.
“To have people say I have the inverted ass and protruding belly of a 55 year old dad, is frankly very hurtful”, said Sunny.
“It’s very hard to be an animal. You’re either too fat or too thin!”
“Or you don’t look enough like an animal.”
“Maybe we need to stop having such a constrictive view on body beauty standards and realise bears can come in all shapes and sizes.”
Sunny says he was so hurt by the comments, that he found himself perusing secondhand squat racks on Marketplace and looking up booty growth videos on Tik Tok.
That is, until he received a random call from an Australia Blue Heeler.
“It was really kind, Bandit called me to say something similar happened to him a few months ago and offered me some words of advice.”
“He told me that at the end of the day, we both have the power to rip a human’s jugular out if we really want to.”
“Apparently Bandit has a bit of dingo in him.”
“But yeah, that’s really helped change my perspective on things.”
