A rural mum has today gotten the shock of her life, when it was revealed that her three children had no interest in eating unseasoned vegetables.

It’s alleged Tracey Whitmore [42] had worked on dinner all afternoon, which really meant she brought a pre-seasoned chook from Woolies and drizzled some oil over it.

Like her parents and their parents before them, Tracey was averse to any kind of seasoning on vegetables, not even allowing a speck of salt or wedge of butter.

This hatred of flavour is said to have stemmed from her family’s stubborn roots, which were so deeply entrenched, their noses evolved to sniff out a single flake of chilli in a spag bol.

Though Tracey should have connected the dots after the kids happily wolfed down frozen roast potatoes, she simply chalked it up to a propensity for instant food – and not because it was covered in rosemary and garlic.

In fact, if Tracey had gotten a little more experimental in the kitchen, she may have found that her children would happily eat most kinds of vegetables – save for brussel sprouts, which are hard to redeem.

Instead, Tracey prefers to serve vegetables in their poorest form – boiled or steamed, and act shocked when her children leave them on the plate.

“Why won’t you eat them!?”

“They’re so good for you!

More to come.
