There’s some good news for Christmas Shoppers in Betoota Heights today, with revelations a huge batch of Fresh Prawns has landed at the local supermarket.
After an 18 hour commute from somewhere on the coast, a few hundred kilos of the festive delicacy will be available at the deli for Christmas.
And, even better, you don’t have to wait to get them!
Deli Manager Frank Frankson at Betoota Heights Woolies told The Advocate that the prawns are his juiciest batch yet, and we’ll be the perfect addition for any Christmas spread.
“Don’t worry, they’ll be fine for Christmas, they’ll be even juicer by then,” he laughed.
“Fry ’em up if you want, but they are best enjoyed fresh if ya ask me.”
“They’ll be absolutely jam-packed full of flavour in three weeks time.”
The good news doesn’t stop there though, with the Woolies apparently about to get a nice shipment of Barramundi for the Chrissy period too!
“The perfect Aussie Christmas out in the bush isn’t complete without some 3-week old seafood.”
“The prawns are only 45 bucks a kilo, so rip in and enjoy”
“Merry Christmas!”
