“How are they affording this” – was the question asked by a member of a closed group chat, accompanied with an Instagram Story of well known local grifter dancing on the tables at a popular beach club on the Greek Island of Mykonos.
Making sure to document their every move on social media, no hotel, club or restaurant was left untagged.
The grifter in question was seen galavanting through Europe’s cobblestone streets, flaunting breathtaking views, posh feasts, and ritzy hotel rooms, leaving their mates with the uneasy feeling of being completely ripped off.
Despite their frequent activity on social media they have managed to have left all debt settling texts from their previous month partying in Betoota on ‘read’, conveniently dodging settlement of any outstanding debts from their lead up to #Europe2023.
“They still haven’t transferred me for the accommodation for that weekend away in March,” one member of the chat replied.
“The tight arse never even transferred me for golf last weekend” another piped up.
Few lucky buggers managed to squeeze a dollar or two out of the grifter, but only after relentless harassment.
“Nice to see where my money’s going,” one replied to the DM.
In an attempt to save face when confronted by multiple friends about his blatant disregard of outstanding debts, the grifter replied sheepishly “Sorry just saw this, reception has been shit – will sort you out when I get home, prices are nuts over here haha”.
The Advocate sought comment from the grifter upon his return to Betoota and are yet to get a response…….
