In music news this week, a chart topping country music star is eyeing off a Nobel Prize in Literature after penning a provocative tribute to his hometown.
Hailing from Franklin, Tennessee, Luke Wallen-Byran (34) is the latest big name in the country music scene who’s been killing it with his debut album, ‘The Way We Ride Round Ere’.
Famous for big hits such as ‘Dancin In The Dirt’, “She Ain’t Mine” and the tear jerking ballad currently doing rounds on wedding dance floors, ‘In The Fields Of You’, Luke Wallen-Byran is a certified, bonafide rockstar.
But in breaking news, The Advocate can confirm Wallen-Byran has set a new world record for the fastest mention of hometown girls, drinking whisky and pickup trucks in his new chart topper, ‘Down South (We Done It Different)’.
After being sent the track for an exclusive listen, The Advocate can report the opening verse ticked off all three prerequisite topics for a country banger with lyrics including;
“Well I clocked off at 5’, it’d been a hell of a week // Picked up my little lady who put one on my cheek // When she got in my truck, I knew I was in for luck // Whisky bottle in her hand, oh baby I was lovestruck!”
After belting out the opening verse of the radio friendly track, Luke Wallen-Byran continues to sing fondly about his hometown and how people not from his hometown wouldn’t understand what his hometown is about, and therefore his hometown is nothing like any other hometown.
With a ute full of certified bangers and a marketable personality as a handsome country boy that’s unlucky in love despite the fact he can wear the hell out of an unbuttoned flannel shirt, music execs are banking on Luke Wallen-Bryan to be the next money maker to come from Nashville.
