JUST DAYS AFTER APOLOGISING on behalf on 60 Minutes over the Cameron Smith debacle, Paul ‘Fatty’ Vautin has been asked to apologise once again for another journalistic mishap made by the popular television programme.

The 56-year-old is set to make another landmark apology to the victims of 60 Minute’s botched kidnapping attempt, which saw presenter Tara Brown thrown in a Lebanese gaol for two weeks.

Along with her crew, she was released after somebody at Channel Nine cut a cheque to the children’s father, who then dropped the charges.

However, no formal apology has been made – until now.

On next week’s Footy Show, Fatty will begin the programme by saying sorry to Ali Elamine on behalf of Channel 9 and 60 Minutes.

The Advocate reached out to Vautin for comment, of which much was unfit to print.

“Look, it’s a bit of bullshit, but that goes part and parcel of working at Channel 9,” he said.

“As you saw this week, they made me apologise on behalf of 60 Minutes to Cameron Smith after they pulled that fast one on him. I was happy to do it, but fuck me rone, you won’t see me sitting with them at the pub,”

“So the other morning, I’m sitting at home and the phone rings. It’s some chinless fuck from the news division telling me that I did such a good job apologising to the Kangaroo’s captain, like he fucking knew that off the top of his fucking head, that I should also apologise for when things went cunt up in Beirut. The shit you’ve gotta do in this life.” he said.

More to come.
