Patrons of Betoota Ponds Emu War Memorial Park have been informed by friends that the park BBQ should be fine, just maybe give it a minute to cook off.
Although Australia is not well known for free public utilities, due to our habit of vandalising anything within arms reach, park BBQs have been a mainstay of public parks, even if there is nothing to stop youths urinating on it in the evening.
It is for this reason, as well as the fact that none of the public BBQs in a safe Labor seat would have received any maintenance in the past eight years, that the park BBQ will be perfectly usable, once it’s had a minute and we lay down some foil.
“I’d give it a minute if I were you,” stated park patron Neville Wong, who rarely cooks at home but claims to be a park BBQ master of sorts.
“Just a minute now.”
Wong then proceeded to cook the veggie sausages first in what was both a considerate move for his vego mate as well as a meat-free way of making sure any stubborn contaminations would not be eaten by him.
