A local dad has unfortunately been one of the few people who didn’t appreciate their Spotify wrapup, which was yet another reminder that 2021 had been absolute hell.
As a father of two children under the age of four, Peter Lewisham [32] would have had a tough time regardless of lockdown, considering both kids needed constant stimulation and were still at that age when they weren’t able to entertain each other – a lesson learned the hard way, when he left them alone together for one minute and Jessie threw a tractor at her brother’s head.
It’s alleged that when Peter was let go from his carpentry job, he’d figured staying at home with the two children wouldn’t be too bad, but hadn’t accounted for their ability to grow bored in a matter of seconds and need to be around him at all times.
In fact, he hasn’t been able to pee in peace since 2019.
Though he’d promised himself he’d never be the type of father who plonked his kids in front of a screen, a month into the lockdown saw him quickly changing his mind.
This has included watching The Santa Claus every day, which he admittedly didn’t mind, and playing The Wiggles and Frozen soundtracks as a backdrop for their colouring-in activities.
Scrolling through the Spotify wrapup, Peter finds him feeling nauseous from the title ‘Do you want to build a snowman’ and remembering the times his top songs used to be Korn and Slipknot.
More to come.
