It’s never a nice feeling to know you’ve been played, and for some Betoota Grove girls, that startling realisation can be even worse when you’re hammered.
It’s alleged Izzie, Emily and Addie had decided to have a cocktail night, which would see them blow an excess of $200 each on fruity drinks that would have them in all sorts by 10 pm.
In their intoxicated state, an unnaturally enthusiastic Izzie had spotted a cute bartender doing the rounds, beckoning him over to wait on their table which he did in haste.
With a playful smile and charming demeanour, the bartender was quickly a hit, with all three girls becoming instantly enamoured.
“What are we ladies up to tonight?”
“Oh you knoooow, just having a girls night haha.”
“Nice nice, and have you been here before? Surely not, as I would have seen you?”
Dissolving into a fit of giggles, the increasingly louder trio chimed in that they hadn’t, but they’re sure to come again.
“Well in that case, should I get you all some cocktails?”
“Yes, SURPRISE US!”
As he trotted off to make the most expensive cocktails on the menu, the girls all tried to work out which one had a shot.
However, mid agreement, an eagle-eyed Emily spotted the bartender attending to a group of older women and was shocked to see them all explode in raucous laughter.
It’s later alleged that when the bartender returned to the table, he was met with a frosty ‘thanks’, and the girls were seen exiting shortly after.
