Family iPads and parental iPhones across the country are running at full steam today, it can be confirmed.
With 1000 private childcare centres shut down across the country, it’s believed up to 30,000 parents are currently trying to juggle their jobs and their little darlings.
That has seen over 120,000 new plays for Bluey alone, with iPads around the country set for a massive day.
The industrial action comes as early educators have decided they’ve had enough of effectively being paid a minimum wage for a highly demanding job that requires years of study and education.
With many early educators on just over 22 bucks an hour (despite the private companies they work for making 10s or 100s of millions of dollars a year), they are hoping the action will lead to better pay and conditions.
The action has of course led to many sighs around the country, with parents reminded how fun it is to look after and educate their kids during the day.
That has seen parents either work from home, or bring their kids to work, with their trusty iPads in tow.
“I don’t care if it numbs their brain. They can have as much screen time today as they want,” said one parent who has been reminded how handy it is to have minimum wage labour on hand to look after your kids.
“Bluey, present opening, Blippy, whatever they want, they can watch,” said the parent.
“I don’t care who is in charge, but fucking pay these early educators what they deserve, and let’s get back to normal aye.”
