A local king is atop his castle, it can be confirmed today.
The Betoota Heights monarch named Jarred Dickson is currently leaning back on his throne (no, a chair on his patio not the toilet) after a big arvo of DIY.
The owner of the 4 bedroom, triple garage project home on the edge of the Heights told The Advocate he’s just surveying his kingdom and admiring the efforts of his reign with a Chippy’s Cocktail in his hand.
“Pretty good aye,” he sighed after taking a sip from an ice cold Woody and Cola and nodding at the freshly made sandpit in the northwest corner.
“Did it all myself, from scratch,” continued the local accountant who spends 8 hours a day at a desk in the Old City District.
The new addition to the local castle comes after he and his wife agreed that their two young kids needed to have a sand pit to play in for a few weeks, until they get bored of it.
“Any excuse to get on the tools,” laughed the young dad who spent an expensive pram worth of money on tools that he uses once every six months.
“And an arvo beverage doesn’t taste better than after a bit of manly work if ya know what I mean,” laughed the Weekend Woody Warrior”
“Those things just go together,” mused the young king.
“Might have a crack at doing the spare bathroom next I reckon.”
More to come.
