Wallabies captain Michael Hooper has told the media that his side is relishing the underdog tag they have been given ahead of their game against Uruguay today.
As the national Rugby Union team gets set for its do or die match against South American heavyweights, Hooper has told The Advocate that people should ‘write his side off at thir own peril.’
“We know Uruguay are a dangerous side, and we know any mistakes against them will be costly, but the group is pretty across what we need to do to get a result,” he said.
“The group has trained well, and we’ve all spoken about staying in the arm wrestle out there and not let the occasion get the better of us.”
“People love to write the Wallabies off, but we are hoping to go out there and take down the big scalp,” he said.
More to come.
