A local man has today received the shock of his life, after waking up in a strange world many years from now.
Speaking from a weird dystopian parallel universe one of our reporter’s cousin’s found on YouTube, Brett Harburgh says he’s not really sure what’s going on.
“Man, I just woke up in the strange world this morning,” explained Brett.
“I’m not sure if it’s a multiverse kinda thing or what, but everything is pretty much the same, except the sports world is completely turned on its head,” he laughed.
“I woke up and decided to scroll, like I normally do every morning, and I saw these highlights of the St George Illawarra Dragons and the Dolphins winning games in the NRL.”
“Then I though what?”
“This can’t be?”
“So I go and check the ladder on the NRL app, and lo and behold. Manly, the Dolphins and the Dragons are the Top 3 in the National Rugby League.”
“I’m not sure how or why or got here, but it’s a fucked up place.”
Brett told us he’s trying to see what else is muddled up in whatever multiverse he is in.
“Australia scored nearly 500 in India, which is flat out off its head.”
“But aside from that, everything else kinda seems to be the same.”
“Im shaken,” he told us.
He then asked our reporter if he was real, before trying to put his hand through the screen.
