Despite having a very rugby union name, Rabbitohs young gun Angus Crichton has last night confirmed plans to remain in the NRL, after debuting quite a rank rugby league haircut in last night’s match against the Broncos.

This follows headlines yesterday that suggested Crichton ws still considering a move to rugby union, with an eye on playing for Australia in the 2023 World Cup.

After playing both codes throughout school, and even completing his HSC at an Sydney eastern suburbs private school, the ARU were hopeful that the young star might be able to save their game, even promising to put him in the Wallabies immediately.

What has been confirmed, however is that the 22-year old will join the Sydney Roosters on a three-year deal next season, but the exciting second-rower could not confirm his future in the NRL beyond that… That was until he debuted that glorious salad last night.

With the sides shaved completely off, the thick mohawk-mullet style was reminiscent of something that you’d see on a rural rugby league club’s mad monday, after someone whips out the clippers.

“I’ve got my future secured for the next three years at the Roosters, I’ll be in the NRL until the end of 2021, so I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it,” said Crichton.

“But have a go at me lid.” he said.

“I fucken look the part”
