After a promising start to the season, the Parramatta Eels have returned to the usual Parramatta-like form that is generally expected from the club this close to finals.

Rugby league fans sat in shock last night, as the Eels were forced to endure a 40-12 hiding at the hands of the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

This marks what many to believe to be the peak of an almighty slump, one that has been gradually growing more visible ever since the team’s last hoorah – which came in the shape of a 26-8 victory over the Titans a month ago.

“Ahh shit” said one life member, Wynn Score (54).

“Parra really playing like Parra again”

Another fan Harriet Park (32) agreed.

“As an Eels fan, I kind of enjoy the pain this club puts me through.”

“Last Friday was very Parramatta”

“Even by Parramatta standards”

Sterlo has since been approached for comment by every single sports journalist in the country who are hoping for a disappointed soundbite that compares the 2021 season to the last time they won a premiership, but has yet to speak.

MORE TO COME.
