British comedian Ricky Gervais has decided he’s not ready to put the microphone down just yet, after witnessing a tantrum at the 2022 Oscar Awards that makes him rather envious.

The 60-year-old shit stirrer has today reportedly been on the phone to the Golden Globes, demanding they give him one more shot at hurting the feelings of multi-millionaire actors and directors – at ‘the drunker version of the Oscars’.

Gervais, returned in January 2020 for a fifth and “final” time as the Golden Globes host, where he let rip with a delicious spree of extremely offensives jokes about diversity in the entertainment business, the rise of streaming, and actors who use their time at the winners’ podium to make political speeches.

“If you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a platform to make a political speech.” he said.

“You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world.”

He then went on to make extremely controversial jokes about Felicity Huffman, Jeffrey Epstein, and the irony of Apple producing series that champion doing the right thing, to illustrate the hypocrisy of Hollywood.

However, Gervais’ last crack at hosting the Globes was right before the world changed forever, with the entire planet going into COVID-19 lockdown just several months after.

With a wave of new material to work with, including war, pandemics and celebrities singing ‘imagine’ on Instagram – Ricky Gervais is certain that he’s got one more bout left in him.

Especially now that his close friend Chris Rock has set a new benchmark for upsetting people at an awards show.

While the rest of the world was shocked by Will Smith slapping Chris Rock over the face after a distasteful joke about his wife, Ricky Gervais felt something extremely different. Jealousy.

“How come no one ever slapped me?” he was heard barking down the phone at Golden Globe organisers while walking through some shit hole part of England earlier today.

“I want to get slapped too. Maybe I haven’t gone hard enough”

“Put me back on coach!”

“And this time I want all the scientologists up front!”
