The hundreds of nervous employees at the head of office of South Australia Tourism have breathed a sigh of relief today, as the fruits of their state’s growing COVID-bubble arrived by plane.

Adelaide and surrounds is now overwhelmed with tourism dollars, as the ACT and South Australian governments continue to gradually ease coronavirus restrictions.

As of yesterday, ACT residents are now able to fly to SA without needing to isolate themselves for 14 days when they arrive.

The decision — which the SA Government extended to Canberrans but not to New South Wales residents — coincides with a growing list of new freedoms for ACT residents, which will allow small hospitality businesses to serve more customers.

South Australian Premier Steven Marshall was there with all of the revellers today at Adelaide Airport, as the three holidayers arrived today in the Cessna 152 that had been specifically commissioned for the influx of tourism.

“We are back, baby” said Premier Marshall.

“Where else in the world is tourism back to normal, outside of South Australia and some of those really loose Eastern European countries”

“Next, it’ll be the NT, and then maybe WA”

“That’s at least 16% of the population moving freely without closed borders”

“This is how you manage a pandemic, motherfuckers.”
