The leftist fake-news rumour mill has gone into overdrive today speculating that former talk show host and one of the most influential people on the planet, Oprah Winfrey could run for US president as a Democratic candidate in 2020, after her incredible speech at the Golden Globe awards in Los Angeles.
While Oprah’s celebrity status and hero-worship in Middle America appears to be exactly what is necessary to win a Presidential Election nowadays – it all really depends on whether or not the Democrats golden child Hillary Clinton feels up to another crack at campaigning against President Trump.
“Hmmm not sure” Hillary told reporters and close confidantes from the New York Times, NBC, Guardian and Washington Post.
“See how I feel… Good to know they have Oprah in the back pocket though. Much better to have a candidate that can make a bit of money as a guest speaker as well”
Bill Slackey, spokesman for the DNC has said that he’ll gladly endorse Hillary at the drop of the hat, if that’s what she wants – and that Oprah’s almost assured victory over Trump is irrelevant at this point of time.
“There’s a lot more that goes into it” he said.
“We would rather putting forward a candidate that represents us as an institution and another four years of Trump, over a guaranteed win”
