Social media was ablaze this morning after an image emerged of what seemed to be Prime Minister Scott Morrison enjoying a Queensland holiday while his home state enters a pre-Christmas mini-COVID freakout thanks in large to the State Liberal Government.

However, the Prime Minister’s Office has hit back at those on the left who want to divide us all by explaining that the image currently circulating is that of Scott Morrison’s twin brother, Greg.

Greg Morrison is a Queensland resident and lives most of the year in Far North Queensland, where the PM’s Office says, he’s routinely mistaken for the Bloke-in-Chief.

“The Prime Minister is in Canberra, working hard on containing the Omicron Outbreak,” said his junior media advisor, William Williamson-Williamsonson Jnr.

“Reports of him putting his feet up in Queensland are fake news and news aimed at misleading Australians in a time when misinformation could be deadly,”

“We are all in this together and as a united Australian force, all Australians can find comfort in the fact that Australians are the best at dealing with the coronavirus and we will continue to drive forward with great Australian panache and uh, unity. That will be all today.”

The Advocate reached out to Greg Morrison for comment but weren’t able to find him on Facebook.

More to come.
