A car that is quite obviously in need of a repair is going to be blatantly held off for a bit over a month, until the owner gets his hands on his tax return.

Despite not knowing how much, if any, money will come back from the ATO – the owner of a grey 2001 Toyota Corolla says he just can’t budget worn-down breaks and bald tyres into his life at this time of the year.

“It’s just going to have to wait” says the owner.

“There’s nothing I can do about it. It’s the same reason I’m filling the thing up with E10 at the moment. I flat out have no other option”

With the car getting a good hour or so use each day to and from work, the owner’s first ever dabble in  full-time work is expected to crush all hopes of the usual one to two thousand dollars that comes back from the online tax return lodging.

“What?” says the confused owner.

“How am I getting taxed more for full-time work? I’m on minimum wage?”

With friends and family providing an endless stream of comments about road safety, the owner is adamant that they won’t be paying a cent until August.

“Sorry, but it’s not happening”
