Easter, across most cultures, is the most underrated time of the year – it has been confirmed.
Easter, also called Pascha by the Greeks, or Resurrection Sunday by nerd – is a festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial after his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD. It is the culmination of the Passion of Jesus, preceded by Lent (or Great Lent), a forty-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.
A recent report by the Australian Holiday Comparisons Centres (AHCC) says Easter, while brief, is so underrated – even if you don’t have and ethnic grandma and lack access to slow cooked lamb.

While Christian schools across Australia and old Catholics acknowledge the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ on this particular date, roughly 2021 years ago, it is now more popular for it’s heavily marketed sweets and confectionaries.
“It’s so good” said one obese primary school kid in the checkout aisle at South Betoota Woolies, this afternoon.
“Except the crosses on the hot cross buns don’t have any flavour. They should just be white chocolate”
