In some breaking news from the city of Tokyo, it can be confirmed that the Olympics was actually a pretty good idea.
This comes after an incredible World Record swim from the Women’s 4 x 100m Relay team to bring home Gold for Australia.
The Australian team of Bronte Campbell, Cate Campbell, Emma McKeon and Meg Harris finished in 3 minutes, 29.78 seconds, comfortably beating the US and Canada.
The unbelievable swim from the team came after a very successful morning in the pool with Bronze for Brendon Smith in the Men’s 400m Individual Medley, and Jack McLoughlin winning Silver in the Men’s 400m final.
As a result of those swims, and the fact that athletes like Emma McKeon have another 6 events to come has the nation confirming that all the negative chat about Tokyo should probs just be left in the past for now.
More to come.
