A young co-worker at a small law firm in Betoota’s CBD is a bit under the weather today.
Returning to work after a weekend away at Splendour in the Grass, Tim Stockton has definitely felt better.
The graduate solicitor, who remarkably got the Friday and Monday off work to travel down to the Bondi expat community of Byron Bay, is running incredibly low on endorphins, energy and cognitive ability.
To top it off, his jaw feels like it’s been unhinged just below his earlobe.
Stockton, who indulged himself this in a pretty hedonistic weekend, didn’t eat a whole lot of food at the festival and was desperately in need of some sustenance and nutrition.
Thankfully, his kind housemate left him aside some leftovers from a roast dinner they had on Sunday.
However, the much-needed food posed a unique problem.
It was cut into quite large pieces, with Stockton lacking the required mental fortitude to cut it up into small enough bits for him to be able to smush it around enough to swallow it.
So, Stockton told The Advocate, the blender was his only option.
“Yeah, a bit of a masterstroke really. Turned it into some hospital food that can be consumed a bit easier, and help with the long arduous process of learning to chew again” Stockton said.
“And it actually ended up tasting a bit like soup, so not to bad I guess. I put heaps of salt in because someone told me once that helps your body recover after a weekend. I don’t know, anyway, I gotta get back to my desk and pretend like I’m doing something,” he said before trudging off.
