Johnny Depp’s pet Yorkshire terriers, Pistol (3) and Boo (2) huddle in terror as local media attempts to aggravate

If a picture is worth a thousand words, the message in this disturbing drawing is loud and clear.

Yesterday, The Australian Minister of Agriculture told the media that Hollywood star, Johnny Depp had been given until Saturday to get his two pet dogs out of the country – or have them put down.

Mr Barnaby Joyce made the announcement after the discovery of two Yorkshire terriers – Boo and Pistol – believed to have been brought into Australia on Depp’s private plane last month when he arrived on set for the new Pirates Of The Carribean sequel.

“…These puppies have been dehumanised,”

The Department Of Agriculture said any animal that was imported without meeting Australia’s import conditions would be ordered into quarantine and would either be exported or destroyed.

However, an animal rights group have today leaked a heartbreaking image from inside a Queensland mansion, where the animals are currently being held in detention

Having been shared on social media over 15,000 times under the hashtag #EndTheWarOnTerriers – the image shows a drawing believed to have been created by the youngest of the two terrified terriers, Boo.

Peta Bleedinart is a representative from the government pet safety group, Save The Puppies. She has spoken to The Advocate today about what she calls a “sickening display of inhumanity”

“There is nothing more that needs to be said. The drawing shows exactly what these poor terriers are facing. That being a deadline to either leave the country or be humanely destroyed. It’s not acceptable,”

The drawing has so far been our closest look at life inside Johnny Depp’s million dollar rental, with the detained puppies unable to go outside for fear that they will be once again photographed by local media circling in helicopters.

“These pets are being treated like they are less than human. For what? Arriving here in desperation? they are just like anyone else, they need food and safety. It’s a universal right,”

“Right now Australia is denying these puppies of their rights. These puppies have been dehumanised. End of story,”

Barnaby Joyce’s closest friend and political advisor, St George farmer Bill Hackett, has come out swinging on behalf of his old mate and the recently titled “King Of The North”.

“It’s not like Barnaby has put them on death row. There are options for these two mutts,” said the former-Young National Party secretary for the Maranoa.

“Can we just take a second to think about the young people (Asylum Seekers) on Manus Island. They have spent half their childhood under armed guard. Those poor fellas would probably jump at both the options being offered to these dogs,”

“All these animal rights groups are blurring the very obvious line between human asylum seekers and the smug pets of Hollywood stars,”

In a story that has dominated headlines and politics for 48 hours, it is not yet known if Johnny Depp has made aware of what is happening.
