SHOCKWAVES were sent around the stadium during the A-League Grand Final as billionaire FFA chairman Frank Lowy dived head-first off the stage to perform some “old school” breakdancing moves.

The owner of Westfield shopping centres was called upon to present the trophy to triumphant Melbourne Victory captain Mark Milligan, however 84-year-old billionaire had other plans.

The moment stunned the capacity crowd at Melbourne’s AAMI Park.

Medics rushed to help Lowy off the turf, only to realise he was well and truly enjoying himself – Performing a range of breakdancing moves, including: The Windmill, The Headspin and The Caterpillar.

After Lowy had finished his performance, the patriarch of Australian soccer lay exhausted. Eventually able to get to his feet and return to the stage to present the trophy, bringing a huge roar from the crowd.

Lowy later left the field unassisted.

“Thank goodness for that. Mr Frank Lowy is up and smiling and he’s a tough human being, as we know,” said Fox Sports’ Adam Peacock during the broadcast.

In a statement, FFA confirmed Lowy had escaped serious injury.

“Mr Lowy received treatment from paramedics on the scene and was cleared of serious injury,’’ the statement read.

“He has soreness in his shoulder from a failed headspin, but is otherwise OK.’’

“We all know he loves a celebration. Mr Lowy definitely stepped up today. It was a real throw-back to his days as a Melbourne city b-boy in the 1940s”
