A recent report by rugby league audiences has found that the iconic Roma boy and former Queensland legend, Darren Lockyer, has tidied up the top.
Locky’s new lid has lead to questions about whether he’s been hanging out with Shane, Boz or possibly even Dougie…? Such is the response to his luscious new canopy.
Following his off-field appearance alongside The King during last night’s NRL opener between St George and The Broncs, fans immediately took to twitter and commented on the next immortal’s new look, using the hashtage #Goldilockyer
“Looking good Darren. Love you mate” wrote former Bronco Wendell Sailor.
“Niiiicee Dazza” wrote former co-captain Justin Hodges.
Speaking to the media after last night’s match, The King says he’s fully behind Locky’s new look.
“If I was in his position, I’d be mad not to lay a bit of turf in the cul-de-sacs” he said.
“Unfortunately, I was more of an open-cut mine, and it has been since I was like 20… Bit harder back in the 90s”
“But Darren, alls he got to do is call strike. You can do that on the underground jobs”
The St George Illawarra Dragons got their 2018 NRL season off to a perfect start with a dominant victory at home against the Brisbane Broncos at Kogarah.
The Dragons delighted 14,457 home fans in attendance with a 34-12 demolition of an undisciplined Broncos side. Lucky all their fans back home were too distracted by how good Darren is looking.
