As of minutes ago, FoxSports can reveal correspondence between disgraced Rugby Union player Quade Cooper and the NRL Canberra Raiders management, including club coach Ricky Stuart.
Yesterday afternoon it was announced that Wallaby start Quade Cooper would not be having his Queensland Reds contract renewed.
The Advocate reporters have made contact with Cooper’s management who then referred them to Ricky Stuart, who was able to talk about the matter.
“Quade reached out to me years ago when I was at Parra, he was looking for a start and trying to get away from those muppets in the ARU. They keep giving him grief… he can’t seem to make them happy” says an excited Ricky Stuart.
“I said ‘look mate, we’ll have ya.. but you can’t go around starting fights like ya done before in the Wallabies camp”
“He promised me he’d be good, so we’ve gone ahead and put it through to the bosses – If all goes to plan The Milk might even have him by the seasons end”
“We don’t give a shit if he plays footy in France in his down-time, Super Rugby have got some serious tickets on themselves”
Quade Cooper has since commented on the matter.
“NRL will suit me better, I’m looking forward to having a run with the lads, regardless of the club. But I’ve always looked good in green”
“This whole thing came up because I was keen on making some real money in France, I am always loyal to Brisbane but I’ve been put in a difficult position”
It seems Mr Coopers shows no remorse for his imminent exit from Rugby Union, sending out several tweets minutes after speaking to us.
‘@SUPERRUGBY how duz the song go? “dont it seem to go youse don’t know what you got till its gone” lol’
‘Green machine, green maching! Go tha Milk !… just wait lol #raidersnation’
Stuart believes Coopers presence could fill a recurring void in the Canberra outfit, continually left open by small-town league sensations that drink too much and are often asked to leave the club just before they start getting good.
