The NSW State of Origin team has this week recorded a serious elevation in hype levels, after the return of the artist formerly known as Robin.

Jarome Luai, aka the man who threw the series winning pass to Bradman Best last year, has rejoined the Blues Origin fold, and brought his trusty JBL speaker with him.

The four time premiership winner now steering the ship for the long-suffering Wests Tigers has apparently lived up to his role as CEO (Chief Energy Officer) of the Blues, kindling and nurturing the Mounty spirit in fellow Area boys Critta, Bizza, and Spenny.

Famous for bringing the noise, Luai’s return to the Origin arena has seen the Blues speaker exclusively blasting ONEFOUR for the last 24 hours.

The release of Western Sydney’s icons debut album Look At Me Now has timed perfectly alongside Game 2, with tracks like Luxford getting as pumped as Burto’s training ground bombs.

“Yeah, I can’t get a look in,” sighed Penrith via Dubbo boy Issah Yeo.

“I haven’t been able to play any Atreyu or System of A Down for at least 3 or 4 doors.”

Noted country heads like Liam Martin and Latrell Mitchell have also given up on trying to commandeer the speaker.

“Yeah, a bit of Coombesy at the end of the sesh wouldn’t be bad aye bra,” said TrellMit.

“But no chance.”

“Lucky I don’t mind the Mounty County anthems.”

Jarome Luai was unavailable for comment on the matter, simply telling us we have work tomorrow.

More to come.
