Local armchair rugby league expert, Mica ‘Bretho’ Bretherington (24) says he’s getting a bit sick and tired of the hype around Sonny Bill Williams.

This comes as legendary dual-code international returns to the Sydney last week, having emerged from quarantine to bring a much needed boost to the remainder of the NRL season for the injury-riddled Roosters.

The All Blacks icon attended a Roosters recovery session last Friday, then a training session on Saturday afternoon – where he left a distinct impression on his team mate and the reigning Dally M Medallist, James Tedesco.

SBW, who won a premiership with Trent Robinson’s Rooster side in 2013, is viewed as one of the greatest players of the modern era, and has inspired an entire generation of powerful islander jukeboxes in the process.

However, Bretho reckons people have been blowing smoke up his arse since day dot at the Bulldogs, and that SBW himself is mythologised by dribbler rugby league fans.

“Mate, you just watch. He’s made of chalk” says the Jobkeepered IT professional who put his own back out helping his mum move a sofa last week.

Now sitting in that same couch, because he lives at home, Bretho reckons Sonny Bill is gonna get found out over the next few rounds.

“Hehe. I can’t wait until he goes up against Payne Haas and my Broncos in a couple weeks”

“It’ll be all over man”
