The Prime Minister has today taken the fight to our greatest trading partner, and in trademark fashion.
“You wanna talk about war crimes, well how bout Pearl Harbour mate,” said the seemingly triggered snowflake this afternoon.
Scott Morrison issued the powerful retort to China after one of its spokespeople posted a pretty full-on meme.
China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian posted a photoshopped image of an Australian soldier holding a knife to the throat of an Afghan child holding a lamb, with the text -‘Don’t be afraid, we are coming to bring you peace.’
And that grossly offensive meme has lead to our Prime Minister demanding they delete the post, and issuing a few choice barbs to defend our national honour while he was at it.
“How about the surprise attack on Pearl Harbour in 1941 huh? How does that measure up to allegations of Australian soldiers murdering Afghan civilians in cold blood?” said the fired up big fella seizing on a golden opportunity to distract that nation from the fact that his government is responsible for destroying our relationship with China, and crippling things like the wine, barley, timber, coal and beef industries.
“Yeah, you heard me? I went there,” laughed the PM to a confused crowd of journalists.
“Talk about the pot calling the kettle black,” said the man who has had some questionable takes on history, like claiming slavery never existed in Australia.
When a reporter tried to ask why he was bringing up the Pearl Harbour attack in regards to a meme posted by a Chinese official, Morrison quickly went on a tangent about the ANZACS before ending the interview.
“I won’t back down on this. And it’s a shame that China has ruined our trade relationship. Alright. Bye now.”
